Subscriptions
Repository entitlements
Direct subscription
Use the Subscribe or Adjust subscription page to start a direct repository license subscription. After checkout confirms the subscription, Merge Preflight attaches the active entitlement to the selected repository.
When management links are available, payer-only links are shown to the current payer. Teammate admins do not see private payer portal links.
Microsoft Marketplace
Use the Microsoft Marketplace landing and activation flow after sign-in. Merge Preflight maps the purchased subscription to a repository only after provider-confirmed billing eligibility passes.
Microsoft Marketplace plan quantity determines repository license capacity. Unknown plans do not silently enable repositories.
Repository license rules
- A repository needs exactly one active entitlement before enforcement can be enabled.
- Repository enablement requires provider-confirmed edit or billing-eligible access.
- A subscription can cover as many repositories as its paid quantity allows.
- If a provider reports `UNKNOWN_REQUIRES_SYNC`, new enablement is blocked until sync recovers.
- Historical evaluations, settings, and audit records remain readable if an entitlement expires.
